Dr. Leah Abrass Hauser, MD

Dr. Hauser was born and raised in Reno. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles in Biology and Psychology. She attended Northwestern University in Chicago for medical school. She moved to Denver for her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado, then pursued a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.  
 

Her areas of particular interest include chronic rhinosinusitis, inflammatory and infectious sinus disease, functional nasal surgery, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, and benign and malignant sinus and skull base neoplasms. Dr. Hauser offers in-office nasal and sinus procedures as well as surgeries in the operating room. She also excels in the care of pediatric patients, in addition to head and neck cancer, neck masses, thyroid, and parathyroid surgery.
 

Dr. Hauser is a leader in the Otolaryngology and Rhinology communities, with many peer reviewed publications and oral presentations at national meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Rhinologic Society (ARS) and is active in leadership roles in these organizations as well as in the Reno medical community. 

 

Dr. Hauser loves being back in her home town with family and friends. Dr. Hauser, her husband, and their two daughters enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors in the Reno-Tahoe area during all four seasons.
